You'll probably find you'll need to start making plans before many will commit or speak up (even if you don't get a lot of responses here, don't assume no interest, "if you build it, they will come", etc :)). Once you have a provisional date or agenda, just make sure you get the details in front of as many people as possible, probably via the usual forums. Actually, even if you build it, they might not come, but that might be the quickest way to find out for sure! It sounds like an interesting idea. I cannot think of a better one though ;-) I agree totally about the need to define a topic well for a cast. You'll need to define an agenda so that peoples will know what they are in for, because as much as it sounds interesting, what the hell will people be talking about in this conference? I am not too hang up on Skype myself but in general it sounds nice.
